Curriculum Vitae

 

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Raymond Kwun-Sun Lau (@Raymondlauks) holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Queensland, Australia. He is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at North South University and was formerly a Lecturer in History at Hong Kong Baptist University. In addition, he is the Book Reviews Editor of Africa Review, an interdisciplinary academic journal of the African Studies Association of India (ASA India), and a former Treasurer of Hong Kong Political Science Association (HKPSA). His research interests include International Relations, geopolitics in the Indo-Pacific, the Responsibility to Protect (R2P) and humanitarian intervention, Global South (especially Africa and South Asia), Chinese foreign policy and Hong Kong politics. Dr. Lau is the author of Responding to Mass Atrocities in Africa: Protection First and Justice Later (London & New York: Routledge, 2022).
