Nabanita Islam is an Associate Professor at the Department of Architecture, North South University (NSU), Dhaka. She has completed her PhD from National University of Singapore on the topic of "Barrier towards sustainable and Inclusive Livelihood: A study of Informal Street Trading in Dhaka". She received Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch) Degree from BUET, Bangladesh and Master of Environmental Management (MSc) degree from National University of Singapore. Her research interest includes informality, informal urbanism, inclusive and sustainable planning, urban economy.
