Curriculum Vitae

Dr. Noman is an Associate Professor of MIS (Department of Management) at North South University. With PhD in Info-Systems, MS in Analytics, MBA in Finance and BSc in Computer Science and Engineering, along with his extensive international academic experience across the UK, Australia, Malaysia, and Bangladesh, Dr. Noman brings a strong interdisciplinary and global perspective to teaching, research, and service in analytics-driven business education.

Prior to his current role at NSU, Dr Noman was a Senior Lecturer in Analytics and Information Systems at Oxford Brookes University (UK), where he taught and developed courses in machine learning, business intelligence, programming for business, and analytics-driven decision-making. His teaching and curriculum leadership at Oxford Brookes were recognized when he was nominated as the Champion of Inclusive Teaching and Learning (2025), and his peer-reviewed lectures were described as “a model of exemplary practice” in Socratic teaching and student engagement. He also served as Assistant Professor at Xiemen University Malaysia.

His research spans information systems, data-driven decision-making, cybersecurity behavior, and digital transformation, with publications in leading outlets such as Journal of Retailing, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Services Marketing, and Computers & Security. His recent work explores omnichannel customer experience and the safe integration of AI into business decision systems.

In addition to teaching and research, he has played active roles in program development, AI literacy initiatives, and learning analytics readiness projects, particularly at Oxford Brookes Bus School and Xiamen University Malaysia. In those projects he and his team formulated imprtant recommendations for integrating technology-enhanced learning and analytics into curriculum design, fostering industry relevance and student employability.
